Newsflash: Jeff Goldblum Rocks the Porkpie Hat in NYC

I saw some other lovely photos of Jeffy wearing this same cap and totally working a hot pink t-shirt with an obscure print on it while he's Rico-Suave-ing all the fair maidens where ever he goes, but I lost the link before I could save the pics. Too bad! If you find them, send them my way.
Apparently Jeff has been in New York for the last little while researching his upcoming role on Law & Order by running with some real life cops. That's dedication to your craft; but we all know Jeff loves to travel to different destinations to learn all he can about the roles he's going to play. Remember how much time he spent in Israel studying for Adam Ressurrected?
Speaking of which, there's been a lot of buzz about this film playing at the Telluride Film Festival this week - one of only two American films to make it on the roster. It seems a lot of people will be getting to see this flick, long before I ever do....story of my life!
Another thing I wish I could see? Is the operatic adaptation of David Cronenberg's The Fly. It debuts next month, and on September 3rd, and the American Film Institute has decided to screen a new print of the 1986 film in honour of the occassion. Cronenberg and Howard Shore (the man responsible for transforming the film into an opera) will be present at the screening to host a Q&A session with guests, so if you're a sci-fi nerd like I am, and live in the LA area, you may just want to check it out. Buy tickets! Who knows? Jeff might even be there, if he can squeeze in a trip back to la la land between his Manhattan research project and the Toronto Film Fest that starts Sept 4th.
I'd also like to draw your attention to a wonderful site maintained by a fellow fan, Jeff Goldblum Online!. Finally a well maintained database of everything Jeff-related. Come to think of it, I believe it was in her photo galleries that I saw those pics of Jeff in a hot pink t-shirt, so go have a looksy if you're curious (and I know you are...) Also, a fan mail address! I'd love to know if that one actually produces results. Anyone? Bueller?
